The B-Movie Rats – Killer Woman – Review

The B-Movie Rats

Killer Woman (Dead Beat)
by Jon Sarre

If I happened to be so wacked-out at one end of a maniac-depressive emotional see-saw, I would find this band incredible. They are that ordinary. Since I’m not, I’ll run the risk of repeatin’ myself and tell ya The B-Movie Rats are okay: Lotsa punk, plentya Crypt-style rock’n’roll energy and practically no originality. Still, the ride’s fun and relatively short (13 songs, 27 minutes). Although this has almost nothin’ to do with the Rats’ music, they printed the legend, “Fuck CDs,” in the insert booklet of their CD. Trivia buffs may also be interested to know that the producer of Killer Woman is none other than Mike Mariconda (who was immortalized by the Mummies in “Mariconda is a Friend of Mine;” the Bastard Sons of King Tut gleefully alleged that he sucks cock for “a nickel or a dime”). I’d come up with more, but that’s as far as I allow my attention span to be taxed. Sorry.
