Perfume Tree – Feeler – Review

Perfume Tree

Feeler (World Domination)
by Malcolm E

When A Lifetime Away, their first album, came out, they were ahead of their time. They’re still there, even if people are familiar with Sneaker Pimps, et al. Lush soundscapes with heavenly vocals gently stirred in. Drumbeats usually grooved and circular (think laid-back My Bloody Valentine drum tracks), although at times they freak out with some serious programming (think, that same track with your finger jammed on the “Search” button), a few guitars, and that voice. Most of the songs stretch over the ten minute mark (thus immediately putting my previous comments about Ronnie and Clyde to the curb), and a welcome ten minutes of Perfume it is.
