I’ve never heard of most of the bands on this, but I do know that they rock. Bands like Rainer Maria, Lung Leg, American Football, and Very Secretary all play frolicking indie rock, with an overall light-hearted vibe that will make you think of picnics in the spring time. Put this already-wonderful collection together with the likes of Franklin (that’s some funky shit they got goin’) and Braid (kings of intelligent and cohesive indie rock), and you’ve got yourself a new mix tape (or CD, in this case) for the car. An awesome comp.
