Babylon Whores are surprisingly rock and not especially metal. With a swaggering rock style and a hearty vocalist, this isn’t dreary doom, introspective Goth rock, or anything so passive. Often compared to The Stooges, Babylon Whores are mid-tempo throb and sensual croon-to-a-snarl the likes of which we don’t hear much. And that’s a shame. Fans of Type O Negative should like these Fins, as should anyone who ever thought Iggy was a dark, morbid, destructive fuck who got a bad rep by hanging out with Bowie.
