Emo metal can be done well, but rarely. The hardcore roarer of Endwell, while sounding like he really need to shit, is solid, and if you can stomach layered gay-boy clear vocals, unlike many meatheads, this guy can hit all the right notes. The clean vocals come in on cue, following the formula for this shit to a tight black tee, and for most of us, it ruins an otherwise quality metalcore band. Earth Crisis knew their metal, and so do these guys, but the New Found Glory vocals are so shiny, they make Creed sound tuff. Perfect for people who love all this stuff without question, but surely not the band to change the minds of the many who think the whole genre sucks balls.
