No Innocent Victim – Flesh and Blood – Review

No Innocent Victim

Flesh and Blood (Victory)
by Tim Den

Alright, I’m going to skip the cheap Poison album title reference and just cut to the chase. No Innocent Victim plays old-meets-new-school hardcore with plenty of fast parts, not-so-fast parts, chugging parts, mosh parts, stomp parts, polka beats, and an all around “hey buddy, I’m tattooed so back off, all-eyet” attitude. Not the worst of the genre, but definitely not the best. However, some of the songs do get me moving a bit, particularly “C.E.B.” If you like powerchords and china cymbals, this is perfect for you. Oh yeah, and the drums sound great on this record, if that makes any difference. Big, warm, and roomy.
