If your old Elvis Costello, Talking Heads, and Clash collection doesn’t satisfy you, then you need this thing. Not only do the bands here convincingly do the late ’70s rock-with-attitude schtick, they manage to squeeze in some old school ska and ’50s rock’n’roll as well. I can already see it: “Scoot! sampler resolves generation gap between parents and children by moving their collective asses.” Bands: The Strike, Teenage Frames, Mega Super Ultra, Hi Fi And The Roadburners, Deals Gone Bad, Catch 22, Peacocks, Adjusters, and Parka Kings.
