The Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13 – Night of the Living Drag Queens – Review

The Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13

Night of the Living Drag Queens (Uncle God Damn)
by Scott Hefflon

Sure, it’s a gimmick, but does it rock? Fuckin’-A right! While The Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13 probably sound more like Alice Cooper on amphetamines than punk, they’ve got the snarl punk is supposed to have, the theatrics of shock rock (I’m thinkin’ early W.A.S.P., but you’re welcome to use whatever band won’t give you nightmares), and non-sissy production that borders on metal. There are movie references (not to mention snippets) galore, and if it’s not a direct parody, you get the idea. With titles like “Mr. Motherfucker,” “Twist My Sister,” “Die My Bride,” “Rambo,” “She’s the Man,” “Motel Killafornia” and “Full Metal Jackoff,” you know you’re in for a Wild Turkey-shootin’ bumper car ride on the highway to Hell.
