Incompatible2 – Review

Incompatible

#2 (Punk Uprisings/Victory)
by Tim Den

Issue #2 already? Either it’s super easy to make a CDROM zine, or they’re honestly kicking our asses over here at Lollipop. Feelings of threat aside, Incompatible #2 is just as good as its debut. Tons of bands, tons of songs, shitloads of videos and interviews. As usual, there’s an art gallery and photo gallery, accompanied by an oblique student film and a funny-ass “Star Wars Tattoo” feature. Oh yeah, there’re plenty of columns too, providing readers with inside jokes and cool jivin’ courtesy of “hardcore celebrities” (Dan O’ Mahoney, John LaCroix, Mike Blair… if these names don’t mean anything to you, then you probably don’t give a shit anyway). Peering through it will make you feel like you’re best friends with all the scenesters, if that matters to you. So for the latest “who’s hot” and “who’s saying what” in the world of bleached heads and chokers, look no further. Bands: Anger Means, Ann Beretta, Anti-Flag, Committed, Count Me Out, Daybreak, Death By Stereo, Fear Tomorrow, Gameface, Good Clean Fun, Grey Area, H2O, I Farm, The Judas Factor, Last Summer, Saves The Day, and The Stereo (no hard feelings with Death By Stereo, I hope).
