Serial Killer Comp. – Review

Serial Killer Compilation

(Fearless)
by Scott Hefflon

With a sexy cover and a collection of 28 punkpop/powerpop/balls-out rock’n’roll faves and newbies totaling over 70 minutes – How can you resist? Some bands are unsigned (I think), some tracks are unreleased, and some songs are not the obvious hits (or are on older releases that’re kinda hard to find). Add covers of Garth Brooks’ “Much too Young” and Radiohead’s “Creep” (by Diesel Boy and 30footFall, respectively) and the Serial Killer Compilation is worth owning, especially seeing as it’s only $5.99 (that’s 24 quarters for you gutter rats). What else needs to be said? Killer bands: The Queers, Pulley, Beefcake, No Use for a Name, Speedealer, Blink 182, Gob, Strung Out, Chemical People, Bigwig, 88 Fingers Louie, Cooter, Douglas, Jughead’s Revenge, At The Drive-In, Rhythm Collision, Zeke, Diesel Boy, The Overdrives, Ballgagger, Hagfish, Smutt Peddlers, Hate Fuck Trio, Allday, 30footFall, Fun Size, Bracket, and I-45 w/Cult Seavers.
