For Love Not Lisa – The Lost Elephant – Review

For Love Not Lisa

The Lost Elephant (Tooth & Nail)
by Tim Den

These guys are still around? The last I heard of them was on The Crow soundtrack. They were always pretty good, that’s for sure. They’ve got that Seattle Rock thing going, fusing heavy-ass guitars with grunge vocal melodies that recall early Smashing Pumpkins and Screaming Trees. Once in a while the harder influence can be detected (what with all the tuned-down business) like Quicksand, but more than anything, For Love Not Lisa is just a good (grunge) rock band that should’ve hit the big time like the other Seattlers. The Lost Elephant is a collection of the band’s old unreleased/rare material coupled with four new songs, and hopefully they will get more recognition this time around.(www.toothandnail.com)
