The Boils – When the Sun Goes Down – Review

The Boils

When the Sun Goes Down (Creep)
by Scott Hefflon

An eight-song, 15-minute EP of street-level punk from the Philly area. The Boils have the gritty anger that sounds urban, very middle class, blue-collar, hang out in the city, see the sights and smell the smells. They’re pretty political, bitchin’ ’bout the ills of society and offering ways to protect yourself from a corrupt government and corporate mentality, but in a shout-along context so you can join right in. Good for fans of The Blanks, AAA, and the kinda no-frills, straight-forward punk that tells it like it is.
