Distantly-produced black metal from Norway that never got to the big time. A good opening band for the greats, ripping beats, full of Viking rage and pride.
Sounds like Rage ATM. Factory 81 also mixes in some Tool tenderness, but seeing as the singer can’t hold a tune with both hands, that’s not a good thing.
It’s still, technically speaking, sludgecore, but Eyehategod are now much closer to a slothful psychedelic stoner rock act than the obnoxious fumes of old.
