Is Seattle coming back or what? Sunny Day Real Estate, Death Cab For Cutie, and now Aveo. We East Coasters better watch our backs cuz before you know it, it’ll be Alternation2K with Seattle at the forefront again! Aveo play drifting Northwest indie pop that owes more than a little to The Smiths. They’re tight and doing all the right things (like having a real singer and writing fat-free songs). The title track is like a winter romance played out in bouncy beats. It’s enough to bring a smile to the face of the most jaded critic (ahem).
