Aereogramme – A Story In White – Review

Aereogramme

A Story In White (Matador)
by Lex Marburger

Um… a cross between emo and metal? A look back to the glorious days of H.P. Zinker? Whatever. Aerogramme combines introspective “clean” alterna-rock with freaky, overblown interludes of glorious noise bursts, and back again. Fits both people who like to sway gently back and forth at concerts, and people who like to jump up and down. Perhaps many emo-types wouldn’t like A Story in White because of its musical leapfrogging. And perhaps metal fans wouldn’t like it either, for the same reason. I dunno, I don’t hang out with either crowd much.
