The Editor told me these things have to be at least 80 words long, so at first I was gonna write, “Art Rock: skip it” 20 times. But I may as well tell you a few things about Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. First, the album, Live, is, well, live. It has been compiled from several years of performances. It sounds like a combination of King Crimson, Frank Zappa, and John Cage. But more pretentious, especially when they try to be clever and funny. But if you’re young, artistically inclined, and don’t know who Harry Partch is, you may like these guys.
