Jeff Ott – Will Work for Diapers – Review

Jeff Ott

Will Work for Diapers (Sub City)
By Tim Den

When you think of Fifteen’s Jeff Ott, his politics and activism often come to mind before his music. And he wouldn’t want it any other way. Be it Fifteen’s visceral, melodic punk, or his own solo acoustic material (which makes up the majority of Will Work For Diapers), Ott uses his creativity to help fight poverty, violence, and injustice. By consistently putting out records and – just recently – a book, Ott uses his musical and literary voice to rally the “people of conscience” one at a time, putting his money where his mouth is with grassroots campaigning. Having lived through homelessness, drug abuse, and the darkest alleys of the music business, Ott has many tales to tell. Will Work For Diapers might be mellower than what we’re used to from him, but it’s just as essential.
