Wow, I feel cheap. Is vintage rock’n’roll so for sale that Ashlee Simpson can buy it to open for her? Pepper’s Ghost is so pretty and shiny, displaying all the right elements of pop rock and glam (not ’80s glam, ’70s Brit glam), but it’s got the integrity of studio musicians. Great playing, certainly know the ins and outs of the style, but all the soul of, well, mainstream pop.
