Gotta love empty hype… “The band everyone loves to hate,” huh? Lemme walk up to 100, 500 people on the street to see if they’ve even heard of the band. Bullshit claims of notoriety aside, the band is actually pretty bad-ass. Littering movies samples amidst decent grr and chug, while the samples are a cheap ploy, the music and solos and breakdown are actually quite good. Like plenty of Relapse bands that sold for shit but undergrounders cherish (because they’re proud undergrounders, willing to accept second-rate bands, as long as no one else knows about ’em), this band is worth listening to, definitely. If you can find it. If you can remember the name in 30 minutes. Zimmers Hole? Christdriver? Dozens of others (what was it, Mortician or something that had funny movie clips and grind?)? Tribunal oughtta make more a dent in the public conscience, cuz they have some decent stuff.
