It’s always funny/infuriating to read bio quotes and wonder if you’re listening to the same CD someone’s gushing about. Music journalism is shit, deadlines and “Uh, sounds like Yo La Tango” shortcutting is rampant. And a lot of these hacks don’t know their ass from the elbow, and are too arrogant to say “I don’t know.” This is “industrial” production like Billy Idol is industrial. OOTLTEH (stupid band name, stupid contraction) is L.A. new wave-based rock with nice’n’noisy production, and every member has been in other bands you’ve heard of or been a fashion photographer or something. Well-connected rock that’s worth listening to as soon as they change their name.
