American Heartbreak – Review

This sounds thin to me, but I’m spoiled rotten by hearing great rock and timid shit, and posers and major-label nobodies sold to us as the next big thing. I said everything I needed to say about American Heartbreak six years ago in a review of Postcards From Hell. This is pretty limp and weak in the mix (Bay City Rollers was too, but that pop rock embarrassment was bubblegum at the time, and this is perhaps trying to sound weak and faggy on purpose?), and if rock doesn’t swagger, it’s Loverboy, and if we wanted neo-Loverboy, we’d turn to Waltham, cuz they write far better songs than these guys.
