I’m a sucker for these guys. Most people in the States have never heard of this Goth rock band, but most people know to look to Europe for Goth rock and metal anyway. Sad rock with keys, guitar chugging (without being doom, or remotely close), this is full-bodied melodic, moody rock. Tool are adored, as are Avenged Sevenfold, and if American audiences knew dick about dark rock, they’d be falling all over themselves to get this. Beats HIM with a stick, and is more tasteful cheese, as far as I’m concerned. Love the guy’s voice, and the songwriting is solid and plenty sticks, which is notable in a genre often as sensual as a lover’s casual caress, but that passes just as quickly.
