Everyone loves the three videos Pantera put out during their career. Combining music videos, concert footage, and backstage debauchery into one video is much more fun than a stuffy video collection or 90 minutes worth of bad concert sound. Plus, Pantera’s sound changed a lot over the course of their career, so you can watch them evolve from the tail end of their big hair days on the first video all the way through the screeching hysteria of The Great Southern Trendkill sessions on the third.

Orgy, who aren’t as interesting as Static-X, let alone Pantera, somehow seem to have enough backstage footage to fill a friggin’ landfill. What’s here on Trans Global Spectacle is basically a two-hour heap of footage that only the most hardcore fans will have the patience to sift through.

This could’ve easily been condensed into a (mildly) entertaining hour of footage, but unlike Manowar’s Hell on Earth series, which is professionally edited and paced, Trans Global is a sprawling mess of brutally boring backstage banality. The four music videos included on the DVD tell the Orgy story much better: Catchy New Order cover, two surprisingly good pop-metal originals, and their final descent into bland nü metal trash.
