High Heels on Fire (Loaded Bomb)

Why the cover doesn’t have the name of the band on it is beyond me. So the band is Empty Seat, and the album is called High Heels on Fire, which I keep confusing with High on Fire which is a stoner rock band, and Les Hell on Heels which is an all-girl punk band on Bomp.

So yeah, kinda spotty, some songs drag, some bop nicely, sometimes the band stumbles and gets outta synch, and the belt-out Gwen Stefani-influenced singer seems to like a few certain notes a real lot, which make a lot of the songs samey. Opening band powerpop/punk/bar rock with a few memorable moments and a lot of filler on a 14-song sophomore effort. One track on the mp3 CD would be a great way to experience the band, but end to end, the CD ranges from cool to tiresome.
