Super Black Market
Will Sell Anything (Minnow)
I really wanted this to sounds like The Clash. It does not. Hot Water Music, At The Drive-In, and The Clash, strangely enough, are listed as influences and mentioned in a lot of reviews. However, I wouldn’t say Super Black Market sounds a single thing like any of those bands. Instead, it’s adequately-played punk that reminds me a lot of what was going on in mid-’80’s L.A. when everyone started to get a little weird. Lyrically, these cats leave a hell of a lot to be desired, and it drags down whatever positives the music provides. You can’t really have one with out the other.
