No doubt there’s some sweet pop rock here, a teen girl-power anthem or two, and an nice lil cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” but it’s no I Bificus.
If you can swallow their cheerleader stage banter and their lowest common denominator lyrics, you get the payoff of a decent, politically-charged punk record.
Sarah Jezebel Deva has sung for Cradle of Filth, Therion, and others. She’d give the Evanescence chick a run for her diva status, but she’s, well, a chunky one.

I like Hellhammer and Venom more than Cradle of Filth, and a good number of bands on this comp play that cool, old school, broken down, punk-influenced style.
Like The Hellacopter, they dig deep into the vintage soul and r&b styles, so they lose a lot of trendy “garage rock” fans cuz they don’t wear matching suits.
The Avett Brothers take time out from intensity by picking at their acoustics, banjos, and slow-burning tales of Southern life (drinking, loving, killing).
While its predecessor satisfied the fans’ hunger for their returning heroes, on this new endeavor, Suffocation no longer need rely on their past for accolades.
