On Frail Wings Of Vanity and Wax (Fearless)
by Scott Hefflon

Screaming, skimpy metal and the ball-less yearning of some eighteen year old poser whose balls have yet to drop. They probably have over 100,000 MySpace friends, all girls who love boyz in eyeliner who play “metal.” I keep almost shutting it off, but despite being a perfect example of all the worst traits of 2006/2007 music, there are occasional glimmers of talent, that IF they ever get out of this “Dashboard Confessional metal” style, they might have what it takes to play real music. They’re young, and as soon as they realize how emo metal is going to haunt them like spandex and bell bottoms haunt previous generations of fashion victims, not to mention they hear a real metal song and have even more to cry about, they might just grow up and be listenable.
