I don’t have a lot of points of comparison for this aside from Pelican, who I like a lot. Sprawling, crushing instrumental doom. Six songs in 44 minutes, from sinister tinkling to open-chord thunder, drone and rumble, from trudging monolith beats to slow-building soundscapes, these guys have the goods.
