Thursday Invite Fans To Stream No Devolucion
Passionate rock group Thursday’s forthcoming album, No Devolución, has astounded critics with its crafty song-writing and innovative soundscapes of post-rock and post-hardcore, and now the band has invited fans to stream the new album in its entirety on MySpace.com (North America/United Kingdom) and Exclaim.ca (Canada). No Devolución will make its anticipated debut in stores and online everywhere on April 12.
On their sixth studio album, Thursday explores elements of post-rock, indie, art and experimental styles, blending it all with their post-hardcore roots for a beautifully cathartic experience unlike anything they’ve done before. Thursday “graft 4AD atmospherics (“A Darker Forest”), frosty power-pop hooks (“Magnets Caught in a Metal Heart”), and Mogwai pedal-effects crescendos (“Stay True”) onto their post-hardcore template, which now churns even more fiercely with an expanded palette” (SPIN; 8/10).
Thursday defied conventions when they burst onto the scene with Full Collapse over a decade ago and continue to push the boundaries of sound with their most dynamic and innovative album to date, No Devolución.
