One of the more raucous releases from SubPop in some time, and that’s a good thing. Straight-up garagey rock, recorded in Detroit, vocals that start mirror-staring introspection and wind up howling catchily over swaggering guitar and thumping beats. Not overly complicated, no emo tantrums, “Bad Thing” is just timeless rock’n’roll for your bad self.
