Wasn’t going to review this one as it’s the band’s first release, and I know Hollow Stars will likely evolve a bit, but what the heck. It’s only rock’n’roll. The band labels itself alternative rock/grunge. It certainly is on debut “Cages,” with the beginning bassline, big, fat, fuzzy chords, and quiet/loud/quiet dynamics. Kinda like Veruca Salt got caught in a “Gigantic” blender. Super short at 2:13, it’s nice. You got two minutes before going back to Facebook or IG, right?
