Buzz Osborne and Gavin Rossdale will never have a lovechild, and for that we should all be grateful, but one interesting outcome might have sounded something like East London’s False Heads. I associate this type of non-American grungy stuff with Australia, but yes, the band comes from ye olde London. Drummer Charlie Gregory is the star on “Cracked”; he’s a shotgun wail of noise. Luke Griffith’s guitar is also lean and mean. These working-class lads have gotten some footing in the UK. Of their music I’ve listened to, this one shows progress.
