Taking an early ’90s techno sound and wrapping it up in industrial, pop/Goth shouldn’t work – but Hexedrene have this damn good album to prove that it can. Featuring the singer from Gethesemane, this is a nice break from all the boring electro. Finding a band like this that carries off the aloof aggression of electro, rocking out, and sweet, ethereal vocals is quite a find, especially when they’re not backed by a major label and millions in publicity.
