Texas Is The Reason – Review

February 1, 1996

Nothing wrong with the playing or the production on these tracks. Most of it’s pretty good, but I’m still not coming up with much to say about it, good or bad.

Fluf – The Classic Years – Review

February 1, 1996

The fattest sound in distorted guitars and deep, heartfelt singing that make me feel like a child getting a big hug by St. Nick every time I listen to Fluf.

Farside – Review

February 1, 1996

The more aggressive stuff works pretty well, but doesn’t make enough of an impact to support the anticlimax of the two folky meanderings that wrap up this disc.

Everready – Fairplay – Review

February 1, 1996

Catchy, up-beat punk pop with snarly vocals, smells like Screeching Weasel. The ska sounds like Rancid. The harmonies sound like Fat Wreck Chords.

Epperly – Review

February 1, 1996

Half the songs ooze through a relaxed Valium groove, while the other half cranks up the distortion for some happy pogoing and head bopping.
