The Pinkerton Thugs are called what they’re called and they’re basically street level punk, the kind of “tough life” crap we all write in notebooks in middle school but later outgrow.
For this split EP, the band is joined on vocals by stoner legend Wino (St. Vitus, Obsessed, Spirit Caravan). Sounds like a match made in heaven, and it is.
’80s New Wave pop meets ’50s tough girl rock with fingersnapping paces, handclaps, simple harmonies and basic structures you can follow by the end of the song.
I don’t see how this lilting, fake Brit vocal approach and lo-fi/faux garage sound is “dangerous” when Swede Rock is breakin’ mic stands and bustin’ heads.
