Pusher – Problems – Review

November 1, 1995

Sgt. Pepper meets Lenny Kravitz for a drink in San Francisco. They cop some greenbud on Haight Street and, after rolling a fatty, go out cruising for girls.

Psykosonik – Unlearn – Review

November 1, 1995

Subdued Goth techno. Tries to be new-agey like Enigma, but comes off sounding unconvincing. It gets your toe tapping at times, but it’s forgettable.

Bathory – Octagon – Review

November 1, 1995

Still has the hyperspeed attack, with cheesy lyrics about bleeding, bludgeoning, evil, and madness, mixed in with Judas-Priest-recorded-in-a-sewer-pipe metal.

Barry Black – Review

November 1, 1995

So, Barry Black is the frontman for The Archers of Loaf. He did a solo project. It’s pretty damn good!

Psycho Serious – Review

November 1, 1995

A definite rock band with added funk. The choruses get a little repetitious sometimes, but everything else is there, including chimes, fillers and random riffs.

Ash – Trailer – Review

November 1, 1995

Starting with a pleasant pop/punk formula similar to the Buzzcocks and adding a flavoring of Dino Jr-esque guitar noise, Ireland’s Ash are a band on the move.

Abscess – Urine Junkies – Review

November 1, 1995

Picture the results if Cannibal Corpse and Brutal Truth got drunk and tried to play punk death. I’m sure somebody will like this, possibly.
