When Australia’s Damaged scored ex-Brutal Truth throat Kevin Sharp, they scored big. Sharp is one of the most diverse and aggressive singers in extreme music.
While there’s a ballad here, most of the rest is fist-bangin’ good times, and there’re even a few double-bass thunders with scorching Yngwie-esque solos.
They come to their grindcore slow pig-iron thick, like some hardcore bands did to express the downer nature of their reality in real, physical musical terms.
Tragically stupid name for a pretty decent heavy metal band. I had a chinchilla once. Absolutely useless thing, but cute. Woulda made a nice pair of gloves.
Kinda thin-sounding. The solos and fills are all right upfront (and that’s the main reason to fall at this band’s feet), but there’s just nothing brutal here.
