When a bullet train like Sick Of It All go all out, there’s no room for disappointment. Death to Tyrants is angry, urgent, and beaming with revitalized spirit.
They bring on the altrock, and after the shock, I remember that they’re not cashing in, they’ve been writing solid, catchy rock for half a decade or so.
Produced by Kurt Ballou (Converge), and it’s nicely non-muddy, high-end scream metal along those lines. They’ve played with Converge and Cursed, and Hot Cross.

Abacus makes some smart choices. The worst they do is release something mediocre. Which they’ve done, don’t get me wrong, but they’ve got a damn fine average.
Abacus comes through again with genre-bending metalcore. The drummer kills. Breakdowns, blastbeats, duelling Swedish melodic leads all over the place, death roar, hardcore bark, screamy howl, huge production.
