Quality ka-chunk death grrr with, well, pussy singing. Nice melodies, the guy can hit the notes, but there’s still an emoish whine to the meaningfulness of it.
These guys can open for Isis or Pelican any day. I like the mediocre drone over pounding hardcore fuck-all, but that’s cuz Dillinger spazz is tiresome to me.
From the ashes of Fault and Ookla The Mok, coming out on Guy Kozowyk’s (The Red Chord) label. This label has been consistently dropping some really good stuff.
Kinda goregrind in humor/feel, has non-tinny spazz, and plenty of howl and noise. Not since Dani Filth has such a “what the??” voice worked in brutal metal.
Psyopus’ debut is a hyperactive blur of aggression, technicality, and insanity thrown to the wind without a care in the world, doing as much damage as possible.
Easily one of the most violent live acts I’ve ever seen. And the music is equally as powerful. Bare as Bones is a collection of rarities from 7″s, compilations, demos, and EPs that’ve long been out of print.
