Despite the indie rock cover, this is a fine EBM band from Israel, released by Regenerator’s label. Hard dance, distorted vocals, glorious anthemic synth pop.
Like something you’d hear in a David Lynch film. Dark and sensual, with some smoky cabaret style and slithering, quiet jazz. Too much trendy electronics.
A male and female duo, Scottish, with jaunty guitars, snappy beats, and light distortion on vocals by both. The bio calls his “harrowing” vocals. That’s good.
Three-piece non-suck punk band from Chicago (where they seem to do it right a lot of the time) on a label I seem to recall has done some other good stuff.
Exploded onto the L.A. punk scene in ’84, then imploded in ’86. Flea, Thruston Moore, and some others line up to say nice things. Guess ya had to be there.
Bio sez “a dose of pure sweet-ass electro pop goodness.” If this sounds appealing, please email me your address so I can come over and bitch-slap your dumb ass.
Littering movies samples amidst decent grr and chug, while the samples are a cheap ploy, the music and solos and breakdown are actually quite good. Bullshit claims of notoriety aside, the band is actually pretty bad-ass.
