Iris’ “Statements by Scientists” brings a summer-afternoon-in-the-park feel to the cutesy confrontation of grrrl groups like Bratmobile.

At their best, the Swirlies are a nice collage of extreme slack-i-tude, at their worst, completely pointless. Every song is a little of both.
