A great name for these guys, they ripp out some precision funk. High spirited, high energy, up beat; they had the crowd shakin’ their tails. The musicians were totally tight and the vocalist sang with strength and character. Sometimes he sounded like Zappa delivering a sarcastic rap. He and the guitarist set the mood with jester hats. Techno bass, screaming guitar, highly intricate and highly funky horn arrangements and stomping rap are the sounds of this band. They do a funk version of ” Whole Lotta Luv” that’s a total riot, and well arranged.

The first Rippopatamus release in two years! The six song demo, R-House, is being followed up (finally!) with a four song teaser demo followed by a CD in a few months. More next time.
