In an era where every schmuck with a distortion petal dangles Black Sabbath as a major influence and writers fall back on “Sabbath riffs” as synonymous for any heavy guitar chord patterns, it was inevitable that this compilation be released, belated as it is. Some of the covers are interesting interpretations, some are direct copies with the bands signature sound being the only significant difference. A well-rounded choice of songs, bands, and (combinations) of the two, expect to hear a lot about this one.
