Full House Spring ’96 Sampler – Review

Full House Spring ’96 Sampler

(Zero Hour)
by Scott Hefflon

Five bands on one label sampler, all with female singers, and all with an indescribably indie sound. Some are solo artists with backup bands, and some are girl bands with a token guy drummer or something. Listening to one band after the other, you notice similarities in approach, yet there are differences in style. From sweet, light pop to dirty garage grrrl punk, Full House Spring ’96 Sampler shatters the girlypop stereotype.
