American Standard – Piss & Vinegar – Review

American Standard

Piss & Vinegar (Another Planet)
by Rich Romaine

“Honest, gritty rock” makes it sound like Springstein, but that’s the best I can come up with. This is just plain solid, guitar-driven 1995 rock. It has knowledge of hardcore, punk and classic rock, and combines it into a style that keeps you interested and nodding to the beat, song after song. I can’t sniff out a turd or an obvious radio single; each song stands strongly and proudly on its own merit.
