Track one, “Tin Spam,” summed it up for me: “They don’t make them like they used to.” From there on out, it was true love. Smooth and sexy vocals, layers of male/female harmonies, full horn and reed sections, and gorgeous arrangements of roots-based ska. Get together the greats of the genre, and the result should be great. The real thing played by real musicians. Oh, it brings a tear to my eye.
