Two 1994 home recordings, from before the Things met King Coffey and became enTranced. The sound is your standard lo fi fo fum, which may have been a necessity in this case but, it must finally be said, doesn”t really work for everybody. Decent songs, yes, but a band like this needs studio dynamics to ascend, and now that we know they can, this is unnecessary for all but completists. (Oh, and my copy was so warped the first thirty seconds of each side sounded like a nervous yodeller on a lurching treadmill. Never mind, I’m keeping it anyway.)
