Covering the heaviest of the heavy, with pretty on-the-mark writing, Subversive Agenda is a damn fine read. First off, they’re open about genre-bending (called evolution in non-elitist circles), and they can review punk and hardcore with the same high standard as their death metal focus. Versatile, knowledgeable, and comfortable praising what needs to be praised, and slamming what needs to be slammed. Subversive Agenda doesn’t dick around with artsy layout and I-know-more-than-you writing; instead they go straight for the throat and tell it like it is. Eagerly awaiting next issue.
