King Black Acid and the Womb Star Orchestra
Sunlit (Cavity Search)
by Nik Rainey
Oh, goody goody ummagummadrops, it’s mellow yellow placid acid rock! Three songs in sixty minutes, stretching out languidly into the infinite without succumbing to Phishy-smelling jam tendencies or circumambient snoozatoria. Best heard during the last hour of blotter bringdown, lying naked under a second-hand paisley electric blanket emblazoned with the Desiderata, four different varieties of patcholi-scented incense burning in every corner of the room, watching the last thirty minutes of 2001 at half-speed. That’s an, um, educated guess.
