Embalmer – There Was Blood Everywhere – Review

Embalmer

There Was Blood Everywhere (Relapse)
by Scott Hefflon

Never saw the need for this kind of grindcore in the first place, much less remastering and repackaging old 7″s and demos. The guitars are, in a way, beautifully gross, filthy with distortion and caked with feedback, but the thin, trebly tone sounds like a mosquito in your ear. The vocals jump between woof, woof and screamcore, and neither is very impressive.
